Detonating Cord - Textile Braided
Detonating Cord (textile braided) consists of a continuous
core which is bound in a plastic sheath together with synthetic
textile yarns to provide higher tensile strength, abrasion
resistance and knot tying capabilities. The cords withstand
suddenly applied loads due to their tensile strength and ability
to stretch. In other words even under severe conditions of
rock movement or product loading they will reliably detonate.
The cords are manufactured with PETN core-loads of 3.5 gms/mtr,
5.0 gms/mtr and 10 .gms/mtr.
Application
All varieties of detonating cords (textile braided) can be
used for either downline or surface application since they
provide a safe, quick and reliable system of initiating high
explosives and blasting agents.
