Pentolite Boosters
Pentolite Booster are high detonation pressure explosives
and are sensitive to initiation by No.6 caps and detonating
cord. Upon initiation they detonate at a high velocity and
very high detonation temperature. These qualities, together
with high density produces great detonation pressure that
makes them efficient primers and boosters. Pentolite boosters
are equipped with two holes for easy initiation with detonating
cord or caps, and have following advantages:-
- Pentolite Boosters contain no nitroglycerine and therefore
are less sensitive to shock and friction than dynamite boosters.
- Long storage is possible since they contain no liquid
ingredients.
- Always detonate at their characteristic high velocity
which develops maximum energy.
- Convenient to use and assemble. No prickers are required.
- Pentolite Booster contain no headache causing ingredients.
Applications
Pentolite Boosters can be used for effectively initiating
cap-insensitive charges in a borehole, at any predetermined
point in a column of explosive charge.
