Raydet DTH (Down The Hole)

Raydet DTH has been specially developed for providing accurate down the hole delay. The Raydet DTH System consists of a coil of tube crimped to a delay detonator. Each Raydet DTH is provided with a plastic oval connector at the free end to facilitate hook-up with detonating cord surface trunk line. The free end of the Raydet DTH coming from the drill hole can also be hooked up to a Raydet TLD on surface where required.

Raydet DTH are available in nominal time of 225 ms, 450 ms, 475 ms and 500 ms. The nominal time is identified by tags attached to the Raytube indicating the delay time. Binding tags attached to the coil indicate tube length.

• Eliminates use of detonating cord down line thereby ensuring that the stemming is not damaged/ ejected
• No desensitisation of column charge resulting in higher explosive efficiency
• Avoid side initiation of explosive column.
• Can be conveniently used in conjunction with boosters in holes charges with non-capsensitive explosives
• Provides accurate delay down the hole
• Provides protection against down the hole and surface cut-offs

Usage of Raydet DTH

• Select the required delay period which will be common to all the drill holes in the blast.
• Lower the Raydet DTH/primer assembly to the bottom of the drill hole.
• If detonating cord is used on surface then hook-up the Raydet DTH to cord by means of the oval connector provided with each Raydet DTH.
• If Raydet TLD is used on surface then hook-up the free end of the Raytube to the TLD by means of the bunch connector provided to each Raydet TLD.
• Connect all the Raydet DTH to the surface system and ensure all connections are proper.

Packing

Raydet DTH is packed in fibre board cartons.
